

Alternative energy is energy that is generated by not depleting natural resources or harming the environment. These forms of energy production stay away from emitting more carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere, the use of fossil fuels, and nuclear power generation. Forms of alternative energy that can be spotted in Muskegon include; solar power, hydroelectric power, geothermal energy, and wind power. Alternative energy must be utilized
more frequently to stop carbon dioxide from penetrating and ruining our ozone layer. Without or with much less of our ozone layer, the earth is not protected from the sun’s harmful rays which will warm the earth, causing global warming, causing many concerns pertaining to the environment, public health, and
agriculture.
